sad sad day

My oldest son who has been doing great since turning 18 had a set back yseterday when his beloved Australian sheep dog died. When he was cutting his grass something flew out from underneath and struck the dog in the eye. He took it to the vet who said that the dog was going to be ok and then prescribed some medication. That was Monday.
Yesterday morning my son woke up, not to the normal dog on the chest licking his face, but to a soaking wet dog that had died that morning at the foot of his bed.
My son is torn up by this as he is an animal lover and this dog was his best friend.
Fortunatly, when my son was working yesterday he found a baby kitten and took it in.

He had Jerry, since he was a pup and the loss devistated adam. I think finding the kitten the same day really helped his spirits. Only time will tell.

Sorry to hear that, but as you've seen, life goes on. I once had two cats I was really attached to. They died a few years ago. Right after the second one died I found two 3 day old kittens under a bush. I've had them ever since and they're like children to me now. I like to think the spirits of my first two cats lives on in these two. I'm sure it's the same for your son's kitten.
