No, this isn't a sick joke.
When this was first drawn to my attention last night I thought it was some sort of spoof site, but unfortunately it isn't: http://www.reflag.co.uk/

Can you imaging any other country agreeing to this, not that we have, and quite frankly I don't think that the morons behind this have a hope in hell in pulling this one off, but stranger things have happened.

The Jack has been changed several times down through history. Do you believe that changing the flag is wrong?

In previous years the flag was changed as the countries of the now UK joined the Union.
What we have here now is a total different thing.

Many times, this being a particular case, liberals want to enact a policy that offers no tangible benefit, but makes people "feel" good (mind you not all people, but the ones they have decided are the "right" people). Well adding black to the Union Jack to make people "feel" good does nothing positive and will cause a controversy 100 years from now when people want to remove the black from the Union Jack. So yes through liberal good intentions, they many times screw things up worse than they started and if not tempered would destroy the world. Hope that answers your question Mike.

I don't think this stems from the Liberals wanting this first. It could have simply been some African Americans that wanted it. Minorities around the world are always wanting something.

God I hope African-Americans (such a horrible term BTW, if you are an American, the hyphenated first part is irrelevant) are not telling the Brits what their flag should look like. They're Americans after all, not Brits.
