Quakecon 2003

well it's that time of year again. registration for quakecon 2003 started today and i wanted to see if anyone else was thinking about going. last year was really reall awesome. aside from the massive amounts of lan gaming going on, i got to hear the Id team talk about doom III and show of the current build (and then john carmack talked about something to do with the two types of rendering that only an ubergeek such as himself could understand ). also a lot of major companies were there (ATI, Aspyer, Activision, Via, AMD, etc).

Wow, the hotel they are having it at looks awesome. This gonna big a huge lan party? It's a bit far for me, but I'd go it was halflifecon 2003!

Yeah you could say the lan party will be huge...they've setup 2000 spots in it! and about half-life...it's called quakecon, but in actuality any and all games are played. i'm planning on getting some good day of defeat in there as well as possibly some avp2. in the BYOC itself anything and everything goes as far as what games are played (if it's not there, you can start a server yourself).

I love finding new gamers to play Quake with, and I am sure that's what I would mainly play.
Half Life at Quakecon? Shouldn't their be a law against that?
