Collision insurance is generally specific to the vehicle to which it was issued.
Your insurance would only pick up for personal and property damage where your uncles left off. But hows your back after the accident ?, are those searing headaches that started after the accident getting worse ?. Has the double vision gone away ?.

Luckily I came out unharmed Still no pains so I'm guessing nothing happend.

Update on the insurance thingy.. I called again today and they said no. The lady called back 5 minutes later saying that since she wasn't licensed she talked to her boss and her boss said I might be covered.
The problems... the towing company already scrapped the car. I took pictures but the car didn't have the license plate on them as they were given to me. The towing company didn't document properly either.. so there might be some problems with the proof.

The lady said there is only a small chance I might get covered...
(I'm just loving the way insurance companies work )

I'm with Surreal on this one!

My insurance covers me no matter what vehicle I'm driving. If I'm in an accident, my insurance takes affect as primary.

This happened 6/4 & they're saying it's been scrapped??? After only four days??
Almost impossible that it's actually crushed already, it just doesn't work that way. This was your uncle's car, right? Has he surrendered the title? Signed it over? You said the plates were "given" to you - that implies the tow company removed them, which they have NO legal right to do (at least in Missouri)

It may have been moved to a holding lot, or if the paperwork was done it would go to a salvage pool at most. It's DEFINATELY traceable.

I called them and they said the crushed it.. yes its been 4 business days since the accident.
See the problem was that the first time I called my insurance they said they wouldn't cover it. So my Uncle (for some reason) decided to take photos and then he gave them permission to scrap it.
Then today they told me they would cover it, so it really isn't my fault, which they, I think, are taking into consideration.

Wow, great to hear a happy ending, especially to a NJ auto insurance issue.
