Allegra or Flonase work for me. Both are prescription only. Go see an allergist. They can work wonders.

Howdy bigfoot. Maybe should be bignose as well at the moment, eh? (sorry, couldn't resist... )

Is it hay fever? Only if you go outside when the flowers/grass/trees are blooming?

Or is it an inside dust allergy?

Treatment is different for both (aside from trying to avoid the triggers)..

Cheers
Mick

A non-prescription hayfever drug that works well over here is Claratyne (I think sold as Claratin in the US). It's over-the-counter, so see your pharmacist.

Cheers

I had what I thought what a bad reaction to Moutain Cedar, but after numerous trips to my doctor, he asked some questions that shed some new light.
One thing was that regular antihistamines didn't seem to do the trick ( allegra, zyrtec, claritin, none seemed to work)
another was that after a weather change, they would seem to go crazy.
I thought nothing would work, and he finally put me something called Astelin.
Turns out what I had wasn't really allergies, but what is known as Vasomotor Rhinitis.
AKA hyperactive sinuses.
He told me some peoples sinuses can over react to changes in temperature, humidity or even changes in barometric pressure and it can seem to be allergy related when it really isn't.
Might ask him about this. Mine drove me crazy for about 8 months before I got relief.
