Cons

I'm on my second roomba. The first one broke a wheel. It did very well while it was working (about a month). I wanted to get it repaired rather then refunded. The replacement unit is not of the same quality as the first or was in bad shape out of the box. If you get a good one then you will like it! If not, then... It is very hard to get customer support on the unit.

It does get tagled up in power cords, so keep it away from the back of the TV, and floor lamps with a sloped base can present a problem, but these are manageabe problems. Plus, if it does get caught up or tangled, Roomba will let out a distress beep so you can free it.
3.
As with any machine you need to adopt the technology. I recommend reading the owners manual and following all the instructions prior to letting it loose. As with any state-of-the-art critter youll also need to do a little maintenance to keep it happy. The particle bin needs to be cleaned after every job (a must) and the filter and vacuum inlet, filter and brushes need to be cleaned after ever 6 hours (or three uses) of operation.

Using Roomba is easy, I can leave it to clean my house while I enjoy my life. It cleans places that would take me ages to get to. It was definitely worth the price. I have had it for about 1 month.
2.
Turn it loose every day on main floor that has carpeting, hardwood floors, and vinyl. Great for cleaning short haired dog hairs. Have had it since Jan. 2003.
