My dad can normally leave anytime he wants if he needs to. Even though he has a crew of guys working for him, they always know what to do and can ask my dad's boss.

Normally dad doesn't like leaving for no reason though. Don't want to get into the habit of skipping out of work.
Doesn't reflect well later.

Using work computers for any non-work related things are stealing.

A lot of companies have more relaxed policies but some are real sticklers for rules like that.

Very true, my girlfriend upstairs works for an entirely different "Branch" and they have to make a physical sheet of what they do sometimes to the minute.
