Survived 2 (almost 3) accidents yesterday

Well, I was driving to work yesterday morning while it was raining here in NJ. On a big turn onto a highway, my car skid hit the guide rails twice on the right, then hit a curb of the merger (which was just about to end) and tipped over. I luckily landed on the shoulder of the next lane (which was also about to end because of the upcoming merge). My first instinct was to get out of the car and I didn't notice that I was opening the door on the side of oncoming traffic Anyway, I emerged with just a slightly smashed finger nail. Just one more meter and my car would have been smashed by oncoming traffic. After this experience, I truly understand the value of a seatbelt. Without it, I would have been dead...

So my cousin is driving me back home from college, she makes a stop at a red light, and then WHAM! a huge Chevy 4 wheeler smashes into us from the back REAL HARD. Luckily the cars emerge with just minor scratches. So we pulled into Wendys and a car almost crashes into us head on. But luckily nothing happend.

One heck of a crazy day... I mean what are the chances of a person experiencing 2 accidents in one day...

I'm real glad nothing happend to me

Hahah, I've heard CA drivers aren't much better. Although the weather is said to be (if you like scorching heat).

No way! People in California have no idea how to drive in the rain! The roads are oily there because of all the traffic and lack of rain. When it rains the roads are like black ice and people there never seem to get it and drive like the roads are fine till they run into each other (which is often)

Glad you're ok

did you buy a lottery ticket?

It was really coming down yesterday. Fortunately, I just had new tires put on last Saturday, and paid a little extra to get model that were very highly rated for rain and snow. They really made a big difference. If I'd been riding around on my last set (>80k miles), I probably would have ended up on the side of the road myself.

Good gravy! As much driving as I do for work, I'm suprised how few accidents I've been involved in ( 2 )... both of which weren't my fault, but damaged the truck to the point of being towed away.

Seems to me that there is a disporportionate amount of morons behind the wheel.

Sounds like driving in Southern Ontario... It rains and people just don't know how to drive in it. I've seen more agressive driving in rain, snow, fog, etc... Then on a sunny day on a dry road.

Consider yourself extremely lucky, you didn't get seriously hurt. Most innocent victims of idiot drivers don't get off so easy.
