NBC: For Love or Money

Here's a new "reality" show that really turned me off -- at first. It's like a rip-off of Joe Millionaire.

The premise:
The single guy is seeking a future bride & meets 15 women.

The women are out there to meet their future husband. On day 1, they are told that the woman he chooses will get him & 1 million dollars.

He doesn't know anything about the money and the women have to keep it a secret. What the women don't know is that at the very end, the lucky woman selected will have to choose either the man or the money.

Now I'm compelled to watch it because I want to see if they can prove me wrong. I doubt they will. All they're all such liars too.

This concept is even more idiotic than the others. What's to keep the winner from taking the money AND having a relationship with the bozo?

Why not skuz? They normally tape the shows before they show them on TV don't they?

Joe Millionaire was sort of funny, this one is just stupid. Joe Millionaire was about deceiving gold diggers, that's why it was funny. This one is about gold diggers deceiving some guy and that just doesn't seem right; he didn't do anything to deserve being tricked.

We all know the woman will choose the money. Finding a man is not that hard, finding a way to get 20 years worth of work (at 50k income per year) in less than 6 months is a once in a lifetime thing though.

Wow, ShawnD1! I totally agree with everything that you say.

What's funny is when you hear the women talk on TV about the money, or what they've said on their profiles: http://www.nbc.com/nbc/For_Love_or_M...testants.shtml

that a million dollars isn't that much money. Such liars just to look good on TV, but their greed will be evident in the end.
What's also funny is that a million dollars is a lot to a man, but a woman can envision spending it away too fast (hence why they say it isn't that much money).
