We officially made our first jump out of de plane today w00t

what a rush
As soon as I took that last step off the C-130 @ 1250', I for damn sure closed my eyes - I hate falling - and didn't open them until the chute opened

. By that time the C-130 was about 1/2 mile away...my risers were tangled so I did a bicycle motion with my legs to untangle myself like we were trained...at a couple hundred feet to the ground, I noticed my direction of drift was to the front, and pulled my rear risers to my chest accordingly..........and suddenly I was drifting to my rear okkkk

...ended up doing a rear landing, aka an organized crumple to the ground...not bad except for the fact I happened to land on the only hard pack dirt road in the entire freaking field (lol) so it was a bit harder landing than it should have been

. Packed up my chute and voila, I was on my way.
Only thing I'm gonna change tomorrow is to steer my way closer to the recovery point...that 300m jog in the heat was a bit too much for me today
1 down, 4 to go (including one @ night)
