Moore adressed this issue in this recent book 'Stupid White Men', he said that black people have never really been integrated into society; they are the poorest and receive the worst education, and that it's a ticking time bomb.

I'm astonished that the underclass has such eloquent spokesmen as Moore, Sharpton, and Jackson representing their ideas! I don't see any winners here!
Can someone make a career of being a victim?
Cripes!

Bruce Western, a sociologist at Princeton University, says sentencing policies have had a glaringly disproportionate impact on black men.
| Why? Are these sentencing policies racist? If they are, the Rev. Jackson's and Sharpton's of the world should be speaking up against such racist policies. On the other hand, if they cannot demonstrate the policies are racist, perhaps the problem is not the system but a racial community that tolerate an illegitimacy rate of over 50% (to which the Rev. Jackson is a contributor).

I say it shouldn't matter, and IMO doesn't matter what race is dominant in jail. We need to reduce crime as a whole, not scratch our @$$es and fire cops that arrest a dispraportionate number of balck guys.

i think the reason we have more prisoners is because we dont take the death penalty lightly. im guessing that other countries dont think so much about execution as we do. thats just a thought, no fact behind it to my knowledge...

Interesting quote from the aritcle:
"Why, in the land of the free, should 2 million men, women and children be locked up?"
This seems to ignore the obvious question, what are 2 million men, women, and juveniles DOING to get locked up?
I'll tell you:
Burglaries, robberys, murders, assaults, drug sales, DUI's. I am not a criminal and I have no sympathy for those that are. Don't blame me because you are a thug!
Typical bleeding heart clap trap! No doubt the same people who want to disarm honest citizens!
Spare me the guilt!
