while on our mini "road trip" we watched animal planets"pet star" 25k buck show last nite. on it was a woman who claimed her dog oculd read numbers. she made it all the way to the final three and won third place.i forgot how much moeyk she got,like 3 grand or something.
she would go and pick out a number from around a dozen big "dice looking" blocks with the number printed on it,show the audiance(without the dog on the opposite side of a barrier,so he couldnt see
) ,then mix the block up with the other ones,and then tell the dog which number to find,and the dog would "push" the blocks around with his nose till he "saw" the block with the right number on it,and pick it up.
she did it twice,and then the announcer did it once.
when the announcer did it,he forgot to tell which number to look for,after he showed the audiance the block. if the dog just would have picked out the block he chose before he told it which number to look for,the jig would have been up!!
after each successful pic,she didnt put the picked block back in with the ones in the pile.
did anyone else see this,and figure out why its a hoax??
i m dumbfounded that someone there didnt figure it out before she was asked to return for the championship.
the person who got bumped out by her got screwed(IMO)
but other than that,last nites show was pretty cool. loved the parrot!!
and all the animals had a ball,only one "marked his spot"
