Land survival was pretty grueling and definitely eye-opening. I am glad those 17 days (especially the latter parts) are over. Water survival was a blast. 4 days of splashing around and para-sailing in the gulf where that 8-year-old had his arm bitten off last year.

Really though, it was a lot of fun, even though it WAS at a Navy base.

The move from San Antonio to Shreveport was long. It is only a 6 hour drive, but the movers made it a little harder than it needed to be. We have a nice place now and aside from all of the boxes, we are settled.
I just got word yesterday that the USAF is NOT shipping me off to North Dakota (Minot AFB) after this. YIPPIEEEEEE!!! I get to stay in Shreveport at Barksdale AFB for the next 3 years or so. So after training ends here in December, I will transfer squadrons and not actually have to move our home.
