Ahh LAN parties are great fun! Enjoy, and be sure to watch over your stuff.
How many people will be there?

im guessing about 20 people but its at a friends house and i know most of the people going pretty well, so i doubt any theft/vandalization will occur. and if it does, you can be sure i will have my revenge

We're having one starting tomorrow too.

This time, we're doing it OFFLINE, so that everybody must play on the LAN only (why do they come if they don't play anyway ??? I still wonder...).

The local fast food is gonna get a fortune once again. Hope this year I won't be the "lucky one" who goes to pick up the stuff.

This time, everyone should have powerful enough machines to run BF1942. JOY !!!

And this time everyone should be on 100 MBPS, last time there were too many people, we had to use some old 10MBPS hubs.

Have fun and frag for us !!!

Ahh nice.
Counter-Strike has been a LAN party favorite to every LAN I have gone to. Except for the ones that I have a couple friends, pops, and myself gaming..

i just g0t home from a lan tonight. It was only a short 2 day lan. there was 9 of us. which really is a good effort for a private lan. We played bf and a few mods and cs.

make sure you pack a bit of water. and some other decent snacks. and make sure oyu g0t a decent place to crash. Last night i slept in a canvas chair outside.

You get locked out, TBC?

I have never been to a LAN game party (I'm not a gamer ), but I'm gonna set one up for my 10 yo son's birthday in September. He wants Nerf Arena for about 10 friends!

Any other suggestions for 11 yo's on a LAN? Nothing expensive, as most kids won't have copies, so I'll have to supply them.

Thanks
Mick

you can run the same version of cstrike on every computer at a lan. it doesn't mind so thats a good idea.

i slept outside cause all my mates are "modders" there were at a count 7 volcano nines and 34 other case fans in the tiny room. plus 6 cold cathode lights. 2 of which react to music. it was a buzzing flashing room. not really my type of place to sleep.
