Do you HATE telemarketers?
Notice how I put "hate" in all caps... thats because I want to know if you really do hate telemarketers as people? Or do you just find them a nuisance that you don't want to be bothered with? Or do you love them (unlikely at best)?
Also, do you make any distinction between 3rd party telemarketing agencies and those which are "in-house"? I am thinking in point of our local police and fire agencies here... they have a nasty habit of hiring a 3rd party and I don't like it... just seems wrong for some reason.
Your thoughts?

They're clearly a nuisance, but I try to be as polite as possible, as I put them on hold and don't bother picking up....

People who call me, or email me or send me snail mail without my permission are trespassing. I dislike them very much.

nuisance - I work phone support so I do NOT want to be bothered when I get home - however I will let the people go thru there spill and say no. Reason why is I have found that once they have went thru it all, they are less likely to call back. If I just say no thank you and hang up, tomorrow they are calling back.
just my $0.02

I've never understood people who claim its trespassing.
Main Entry: trespass
Pronunciation: -"pas
Function: verb
Etymology: Middle English, from Middle French trespasser, from Old French, literally, to go across, from tres across (from Latin trans) + passer to pass -- more at THROUGH, PASS
Date: 14th century
intransitive senses
1 a : ERR, SIN b : to make an unwarranted or uninvited incursion
2 : to commit a trespass; especially : to enter unlawfully upon the land of another
Its a physical intrusion.... you can argue that door-to-door salesman are trespassers, but not telemarketers.
Sorry but its in websters!

The only thing I don't like is them calling me on my phone. I paid for the phone bill and I don't like them using my phone as a advertisement media. In other areas I don't have much choice but ignore them or have fun with 'em. Hehe.

| The act of entering another's territory or domain
Your domain can be considered a lot of stuff, so technically they enter your domain. thus they are trespassing.
i signed up for the no call list, so i havnt heard a telemarketer in a year.

When the miscreants call I sound ever so happy to hear from them and tell them I've been waiting for them to call and if they could just hold on for a sec please I'll be right with them. I then put down the phone and walk away.

Sorry but its in websters! | So in your terms, a hacker who hack into your system, looks at your credit card number, home address, phone number, Social security number etc.., is not trespassing?
