Had to take a course at work today about harassment. Very interesting indeed. I now know that almost everything that comes out of my mouth would be considered harassment by someone or thing. All I have to say is MUMPH............................................. .................................................. .................................................h ard to talk with my fist in my mouth.But,if none of you were offended,then my plan to avoid future trouble will have been accomplished.

I don't wanna hear no more about harrssment. If you harrass me in this way any more I'll sue you!

When will it stop? How far do we take this how offends me scenario?

Maybe we all need to stop talking. But, then again, that might offend someone.

A line has to be drawn eventually. Things are getting so out of hand. You can't say anything without risking harassment. That happened at my work. One of my co-workers said to one of our female co-workers and I quote "<name> you look nice today."

The blowup from that was unbelievable. There were meetings with management all the way up to the Vice President. I got dragged into it and I just barely got away unscathed. Guilt by association.

I probably harassed someone with this. So I apologize if I have.

I remember having this arguement with one of my professors at college. I said that was stupid, if one day a person comes in and normally doesn't dress up nice and did and it was noticed that you can be charged with sexual harrassement just for this comment. I argued that this was stupid because the person normally doesn't dress up and when they dress up its going to be noticed.

I kept arguing that there is a difference between noticing a person had dressed up and complimenting them on that. As versas a person in a sexual way stating the same phrase.

I always say, if you want to compliment a lady in a gender-neutral manner that cannot possibly be construed as harrassment, you can't go wrong with a good movie line...

I am a white male protestant. However, I have been properly trained. I find myself offensive and take every opportunity I can to make disparging comments about myself and others of my kind. I'm asking for a demotion this year just to ensure that I don't perpetuate a system of oppresion.

Gotta go, I need to step out and beat myself up a bit more.
