Is this one of those machines where the beans get ground fresh and is then made with stale water?

i ve tried the whole gamut of coffemakers, from when Mr Coffee first came out, thru all the "turbo" makers(Bunn, for example).

now i m using a old "HOOVER" brand electric percolator i bought at a flea market for 6 bucks. have my mothers old "stovetop" stainless steel percolator as a back up.

our bunn burnt out,and when i went to price a new one,the price had over doubled,so i bought a mr coffee "turbo" drip.

now it doesnt make the coffee hot enough for a thermos,so i m using the HOOVER

ruby just ordered a electric percolator a week ago to upgrade the hoover. i m gonna miss ol` "hoovie" its getting temperamental, percs sometimes and stops in the middle of its cycle.

i guess that happens when you are around 40 years old.

happy java

IMO Cusinart makes the absolute worst coffee pot on this planet. I just got rid of mine (good model, not the fance grind and brew though). The button broke, it would overflow and grinds all on the sink, made the coffee WAY TOO HOT. When I saw a flash, it was in the trash!!!!!!!!! bad news!!!

I searched alot of local stores to find my "dream coffee pot", a 12 cup Braun with automatic two hour off to no avail. Finally broke down and got a Mr. Coffee and I regret it. Just recently saw the Braun at Sam's. Oh how I hate these dilemmas! To get the one I really want or settle for what I have.....

My advice..... Stay away from the Cusinart Brand for Coffeepots!!!!

I'm with draboo on the coffee maker type. I hate those mr coffee types. I have a Farberware electric percolator and love it. I've used them for years.
