what generation are you from?

I was looking at all the different labled generations. I am generation X. 1962 model

Millenial Saeculum:
Boom Prophet 1943-1960
13th Nomad 1961-1981
Millenial Hero? 1982-2003?

How many of us are there? Not many. Using the '65-'75 dates, there are about 47 million of us. Census Bureau figures show that we will finally outnumber the Boomers, in 2040, by 39.6 to their 37.1 million. Of course, by then the Boomlet/Y-Generation will amount to 73.4 million, so we will be always an "in-between" group. So get used to it!.

I'm "Silent" Generation, because I came of age in a Cold War period when to criticize the Government was thought to be unpatriotic - and dangerous. I remember watching the Army-McCarthy hearings on television; I remember the movie and TV blacklisting of writers, actors and directors; and I remember J. Robert Oppenheimer, the architect of the Manhattan Project, losing his security clearance because he was insufficiently enthusiastic about developing thermonuclear weapons.

Boy, those were the good old days.
