Another NY Times Reporter in trouble

This time it's Pulitzer Prize winner Rick Bragg. Filed a report that had actually been researched by a junior associate.

Do these people just have no morals anymore? I mean come on. It's the NY Times!! Just because you may have worked to get there doesn't mean you can lazy your way working there.

Sigh.

I fail to see the controversy. In academia, profs often use work researched by underlings, and still claim the credit. It's a matter of who expects to get what from their work, and what expectations are.

I have no difficulties with a journalist who uses sources well; that may include other journalists, surely. He didn't lie when he said he visited the place, and the other journalist contributed to his story freely and without requesting to be acknowledged.

So, what's the fuss?

Cheers
Mick

I guess nobody thinks enough of

the New York Post to care what it does; but stealing from the National Enquirer?

No, we don't care what the New Yawk Post does, frankly. But thanks for caring enough to ask if we care, which we don't, but we care that you think we might care.

That sounds like my Financial Math teacher from college.

"I care... I care, but... I don't. Don't go home and tell your Mom I don't care because I care... I care, but... I don't care."

I hadn't laughed that hard in a while
