I went back to the "other" place yesterday. I wanted to find out when I signed up over there. Turns out I have been a member since Sep. 2000. Before that I was a lurker for at least a couple of years. That means you guys have been helping me out (and, hopefully, vice-versa) for well over 3 years now. I remember using the original overclocking database over there, trying to get more oomph out of my K6-2 300. I remember when
www.sysopt.com suddenly became sysopt.earthweb.com
And yet in all that time, I only had 60 posts over there. Here, on the other hand, I have posted here at least 70 times in a couple of months.
Now, I know that this doesn't compare with the hundreds of posts a week that some of you get, but for me, that is a lot.
I was just thinking that I feel more at home here than I ever did "over there". I'm more comfortable with you guys here than I was there, even though a lot of you are the same people.
I don't want this to turn into an "us vs. them" thread, I just wanted to let you guys know that I'm glad you guys are around, and I actually feel like you are willing to listen.
