Guitar gently weeps
I used to have a Gretsch Anniversary Guitar with flat wound strings. It was olive body with a green front. Circa 1968.
I could swear I just saw it on a Drew Carey show rerun. Carey was forming a band called 'the horndogs'.
I sold it years ago, and I have always regretted it.
I'd love to buy it back. Anybody into guitars out there?

Yeah I love guitars,I currently have 4,and do attempt to play them once in a while.
Ever seen the Gretch Chet Atkins edition the guitarist from Bryan Adams uses in "Everything I Do" from Robin Hood video. That is the sweetest sounding guitar I have ever heard in my life IMO.
I know there are several more players runnin around here, I bet they jump in here in a while.
So whatcha playing now??

I have a Martin Classical around but I dont play it much any more.
I went thru some twelve strings and a few acoustical, but I always liked my electric.
Want my roots back...Waahhh

*Raises his hand*
I am a sad sad guitar junkie, can't play too well, but the smell of a guitar is intoxicating enough, that I can't stop buying them. I have 14. From Gibson Les Pauls, Guild acoustics, to my beloved PRS Limited Edition with the dragon inlay.
The wife doesn't like this hobby one bit, says its way too expensive =)

I own a Martin D28 (my pride and joy) but alas, I am not very gifted when it comes to playing...

Wow, you aren't kidding, there are some guitar freaks around here.
Thats the first time anyone mentioned Chet Atkins. I used to listen to his music a few (decades) ago. Then I admired the way Chis Parkinson played.
Still, I m looking for my Guitar, Gretsch.

yeah i like to dork around on the guitar a bit too, i really like writing my own stuff, and just picking radio songs by ear i am good at. i am in no way "proficient" nor do i want to be, i hate hair bands and classic rock. but i like my strat and my fender accoustic, and my AMP! i will take a pic of my amp and post it.
