young life ! No thirty-one year old-timers.
Anyway, Logan--despite all the special priviledges he's getting as a Policeman for tracking down "runners" who chose not to jump into The Carosel--for "renewal"--either they like they old self or, more likely--they realize it's a scam !
Ahhh! How does the Gov't know you are turning 30, did somebody design a an OS with Spyware, a browser with hidden files....Hmmm--v-e-r-y close.
At birth you are implanted with a chip in your palm that changes colors and flickers to I.D. you. So you jump in the Carousel for -errr, "Renewal"--OR RUN FOR YOUR LIFE !
Well, Logan, somehow--he runs into an attractive 29 N counting Year-old who tells him of a place outside the Dome where the Government-Computers--can't track.
Interesting to watch Logan --little-by-little--and against his profession, indoctrination--as all Citizens receive about "Renewal" on The Carousel-- starts to investigate the scam and slowly begins to have some doubtsabout whether he's doing the right thing.
Worse, Logans palm chip is starting to change colors.
And only a few "wise elder Ones" are allowed to skip a joy ride down the Carousal for "renewal"!
Ahhh! The adventures on the way to the Out-side !
Interesting Cameo by Charlie's Angels Farrah Fawcett Majors as Plastic Surgeon who gets suspicious about operating on a (The Cop or his Girlfriend?) and tries to zap them with surgical lasers.
Don't know if they even had them then !
