Whatever variable length was defined by the vBullentin programmers within the confines of MySQL's database limits. In theory, none will ever reach the max limit in any of our lifetimes.

Try and beat the vBulletin limit within your lifetime.

Maybe if you got 5 posts for every bit of Weird News as well as real news, you'd make it.

Try this idea. How about I deduct 5 five post from everyone for every news item I post, while I still receive 5 posts?

Yeah, kind of like a contest. At the end of month, I'll send out prizes to anyone left with positive post counts.
