i am looking for some new music. to give you an idea of what i like, here are some of my favorite bands:

Mudvayne
Disturbed
Drowning Pool
Fear Factory
One Minute Silence
Pantera
Powerman 5000
Machinehead
Rage Against The Machine
Sevendust
System of A Down
Static X

Anyone have any bands you think i would like?

Note: i dont really like religious music whether it be christian, satanic, whatever...

i forgot to mention tool, i like them as well. ive heard one or two soil songs, they sound good i will have to check them out. never heard of perfect circle but will also check them out! thanks!

Rob Dougan is pretty cool
Dry Cell

couple of Robs songs are used in both matrix movies

check out Furious Angels, (when neo fights the new agents for the first time in the second movie) Clubbed to Death (when neo and Morpheous are walking in the matrix and Neo sees the girl in the red dress for the first time)

Perfect Circle has the same Lead singer as TOOL (maynard Keenan)

Try the following:

The Doors
Led Zeppelin
Rolling Stones

Good songs by clasic rock bands. You'd be surprised how good that stuff is. Get Kazaa Lite and check it out.

got kazaa lite i love zepplin but the other two...ehh...they're ok...

im looking for new stuff though

clubbed to death is a good song, i used to have the matrix soundtrack.

basically though im looking for music in the genre of the bands i listed

Ah yes, Godsmack is excellent. From a similar genre, I also enjoy Nine Inch Nails.
