Kids Lake of the Ozarks

Does anyone know that area well? Where's a good place to spend a weekend? We're looking for something really nice. Also, where are the places to avoid (tourist traps, etc)? Any good restaurants?

Branson is good, if you want to drive a few hours further south.

I grew up at the lake. Lots of stuff to do there. The 2 nicest places to stay at are Marriott Tan tar a & The Lodge of the Four Seasons. HK's is a great place to eat at & it's near the lodge. Bentleys is awesome also. Anything else u wanna know just ask or send me a pm.

Lake of the Ozarks is not by Branson. I live about 30 miles from the lake at Ft Leonard Wood. Branson is south of Springfield which is another hour and a half from the lake.

But don't forget the Bass Pro shop if you are near Springfield!
The store has a water fall and driving range to test your new golf clubs before you buy.
