Free T-shirt for Warthog

I think it'd be good to honor Warthog with a free TechIMO T-shirt, for his contribution to the TechIMO community. Since it seems he can't post as he a Resigned member, then maybe we could try to organise it for him.

The main problem is, who do we send the T-shirt to? Sending it to Warthog at the base he will be stationed at probably won't work.

So, if anyone knows his full name, or any other useful contact details, maybe they would be willing to organise something?

Since it's not suitable to post someones details here, maybe if you could just post willingness to co-ordinate sending the T-shirt. Then we can work out details like taking up a collection or something to cover postage.

Comments, criticisms or flames?

Cheers
Mick

Well we know his first name, where he's stationed, and unless he does some really fast work.. We know his rank.
Maybe Martoch or dave could do some detective work and track him down for us?

Well, I heard from him, twice, today. And probably be hearing more from him in the immediate future to because right now he said he's off-duty till Monday, and I quote. "w00t!". Plus he gets another 4 day weekend next weekend. And he's just put another twenty bucks on his CyberZone card for the pay by the minute internet cafe thingy.

So, should I just ask him for a mailing address? Or were you gonna surprise him? Considering it's very possible he's read this message, I'd say surprising him is out of the question.

Ha guess it's no longer a surprise then, eh? Might as well ask him for the address.

That occurred to me too vass...but considering Cadd replied to that message a few days ago I just figured he had seen it.

Cadd, this should explain the message that was removed. It was not a message by proxy from Wart.

And he can see how many people miss him.
That's good and kinda bad I guess.
It's good to know that people really thought a lot of you and miss you when you leave somewhere.
But it's sad that everyone is missing him because he's stubborn.
I miss him. And worry about him in passing thought. He not only grew up here, perhaps he forgets there are a lot of folks that watched him grow up and cared for him.
Brandon has proved that he is not a very nice person. With the stunts he has pulled coming back as another member to harass the boards and has sent me pm's cussing at me.
I think Brandon used him, once he found out Wart was upset with the whole chat room thing and worked on him.

The thing is, Scott doesn't reply to a lot of things on the boards. For a while he never read his PM's and didn't reply to too many emails. I know, I got the same treatment. I don't think it was for any reason other than he was busy, but when you feel like you're ignored you don't think of the fact that maybe everyone is being ignored you tend to take it pretty personal. I did anyway.

Warthog, I'm sorry for everything that happened and wish it would have been handled better by everyone.

Outpatient, please tell him that.

I'll probably get fired, but I changed his status from banned to registerd... I did it a couple days ago. I hope he finds it in his heart to come back, and tell us he's sorry too about the whole thing.

It would sure be nice it this could all just be water under the bridge someday...

Amazing how a simple T-shirt can bring out so much heart.

Thanks for that Surreal. Encourages me to see at least one mod upfront with her feelings about members.

Now, how are we going with organising this clothing parcel, hmm? And are we gonna take donations for shipping costs? Maybe someone can organise something on PayPal if it allows a few cents per donor.

Cheers
Mick

cant really say that i knew wart, i knew of him though. dont need my contacts to see that he was a valued member round these parts, and anyone that can pass the "OuT" standards, and still meet micks is better than i can say for myself so how do you think we can go about this? how is the address going Out? maybe OuT should be in charge of sending it since he has the address? maybe everyone could PM him, or create a poll or something to see how many people would be willing to go in, and then divide the cost by that number. take paypal OuT?
