OMG! That's horrible! How could anyone be so cruel? I really like cats and the thought alone is horrifying. I can't imagine what it's like for the owners.

“The boy’s never been in trouble in his life,” said Patrick Castor, 38. “And yes, he does feel bad about it. He’s been crying over it ever since last night.”
| Ya right! probably never got busted before. Quote: |
The cat’s owners said Andrew Castor led them to the canal, where they saw the dead cat still in the gator’s mouth.
| I find this statement hard to belive. Aligators generally don't leave food dangling in thier mouth and plus the fact the boy had to walk or ride his bike from the 1400 block of his home on 24th avenue to the 1000 block of 23rd avenue where the aligator was and then back agian with the neigher to show him where it was. At least 15 to 20 minutes had to elasped and the aligator would definatly had the entire cat in his stomach.
That is my opionion anways.
Bad boy for being so heartless. |

So he wanted to see what the gator would do heh ?
While I never tried it, I'm bright enough to KNOW what it will do with free food...
Bad start in life.

yes this is cruel but the boy is just that, a boy. kids make mistakes and this, from a kids perspective, doesnt sound like something punishable with five years in jail. imo he should be made to pay for the cat or get them a new one or mow their yard for a month or something. its just a cat. i dont hear people complaining when an alligator inflicts cruel and unusual pain on natural prey which im sure stray cats are part of. kids make dumb mistakes and they should be allowed to learn from them, not take 5 years of their life and likely ruining the rest of it.

| You are joking ?right
So next he murders a child next and we still forgive him. After all he's only a kid.Bullcrap. This kid is a problem and should be dealt with harshly.Remember Ted Bundy and all those other serial killers. They started out as kids and killed and mistreated animals also before graduating to killing people. This punk gets no pity from me. As far as I'm concered he's waste of human life.

It would be his last mistake if it had been one of my cats. You can bet your @$$ on that !!!!!!!!!!!!
Castor had never been arrested before for a felony in Cape Coral, Bitsis said. Misdemeanor arrest records are confidential because of Castor’s age. A fine young man

Five years seems about right.
He didn't "make a mistake"...give me a break. Anyone that could do that to an animal just for the hell of it, and especially to an animal that they know is someone's pet...well sorry, that's not a "boy just making a mistake"...that's a cruel, blackhearted, piece of crap. Lock the little jerk. up.
And he's lucky the law doesn't allow tit-for-tat bcause I'd be more than happy to kick him in the skull and the stomach and then throw him to a 12-foot gator. That'd make my day.
(Pardon my French, but ya'll know cruelty to animals is one of my hot buttons.) (Pardon my editing, but your anger about animal cruelty is not a reason to thinly disguise profanity with asterisks)
So that's not allowed anymore? Used to be. I wasn't aware of the rule change.
