I was doing some shopping yesterday with a friend and she came running up to me with a container that used to hold those small 3" plants from the green house at walmart. Well there was a small bat in it with its wing stuck in one of the holes. She ran to get some sizzers and cut it out when it was free it just layed on the ground, it was alive. My friend ran back inside to get an eye droper so we could give it some water, my idea. I picked the bat up and it crawled up my arm to come to rest upside down under my arm. she brought me the eye dropper and I did get some water in to the bat. I couldnt leave well enough along and kept playing with the thing. It jumped to the floor of my Jeep and crawled up the passenger side up under the dash. I thought I would have a dead bat in my car but held on to hope once it rested it would leave. after about one hour I heard noise in the back seat by a brown paper bag and there he was, my friend was driveing and I yelled pull over and stop the car NOW. We opened all the doors and the bat flew out the back hatch to freedom. I hate shopping at WalMart.
Your friend is to be commended for keeping a cool head while driving. And both of you are to be commended for helping one of God's critters regain its freedom.
