Rant- updating apps is nothing but headaches

sometimes i wonder why i do it.. ever since i was on dial up and updated napster and lost the resume function with an update.. tonite i updated messinger after first logging in.. now it wont connect at all. piece of $#!% .. ok i'm feeling a little better now. as long as i dont try to connect again i'll be alright.

all upgrades are hit or miss, but we can't do much about it... except maybe wish things upon software engineers who think they know what we want/need in software.

I don't do upgrades. Period. If & when it's proven to me that I need a new version of something, I'll install it to a different location, leaving the previous version alone. I can always delete or uninstall it after the new one has had a long-term reliability test!
