Very interesting article, CNN is carrying it to.
Now there are going to be three different types or replies to this post:
1 – Republican, slamming all Democrats.
2 – Democrat, slamming all Republicans.
3 – Other, for lack of a better phrase, slamming all politicians.
I would fall under the “Other” category on this one. Reason being is that this is a good example of a two party system that is failing. It is not the two part that is failing; it is the party part that is failing. Both parties have grown so opposed to each other that they can no longer function together as a team to get the job done.
Although, I will admit that the Democrats seem to have a legitimate issue about the re-districting plan. If their state constitution directs that the state district plan be re-done every 10 years, and it was done in 2001 (forced to by court order), then why are they doing it again? It should not be done again until after the 2010 census.
Hmmm, I smell a rat.
Oh by the way, for those who might support the idea that the court ordered redistricting plan was flawed and/or a temporary fix then you should consider this. Our president of the United States was court appointed, was that a temporary fix too?
If you want your cake, you have to eat it to, just like everyone else.
