Million Marijuana March

I went to the annual marijuana march this year in New York. The marchers took up a few city blocks, carrying signs and chanting.

My favorite chant was "Bloomberg smokes pot! Why can't we?". A couple of college kids behind me started chanting "Fur is murder!" and "No war for oil!". Laughing, one explained, "We go to a lot of these things." The other said, "It gets confusing, especially when you're high". Well, we may not have been influencing U.S. drug laws, but at least everyone was having a good time.

Apparently, the march ended up at the local supermarket, where they bought out all the Oreos.

It's kinda quasi-legal here.

You can use it, but if you are caught with more than what is considered OK for personal use, you'll be charged with possession.

Can't be smoked in public areas, only in private. Still pretty debatable about how "legal" it is, and is still illegal to sell it (have to grow your own. )

Not my bag at present.
