Guest Moderators?

Seems we have Guests replying editing searching...
And now Moderating.

What the?

Only got one in the SS.
But there were, at least 5 instances.
I just counted.

Edit: OK I did a bit more digging.
Seems those Guests were replying to some very old threads.
Maybe something screwy in the DB.

Sorry, I'll just slink back to the corner and have another beer *shrugs*

I counted over 20 guests would were doing moderating duties the other night, Rusty.

Surreal said it's a quirk of vBulletin. Quirk is right.

Have ya noticed the other flaky stuff? Like the half-finished text that comes up randomly when ya post?

Methinks Scott really needs to consider upgrading to the latest vBulletin, despite all his custom mods. It's getting a bit spooky, like ya said.

From what I understand, if someone tries to access a restricted area, the server registers them as having accessed that area even if they were denied access.

For example, only mods can edit (moderate) another member's message, but if a member clicks on the button for another member, the server may list them as editing the post even though they were actually denied access.

It's just a glitch, no need for alarm

Rusty the preview hack is probably available for others, have you looked around vbulletins site?

I don't believe that is a custom hack Scott developed (I could be wrong, its been known to happen )

Fosters is the dregs they ship to us Yanks..
They keep the good stuff there with them.
