One thing that springs to mind is medical forensics. You would also need a medical degree (or maybe medical technology discipline of some sort rather than an MD), but it is a rapidly expanding field from what have heard. Might be worth checking out. Here's some info for starters.
Criminal Justice is a Good Foundation for many different pursuits in Grad School... But you probably know about those.
Other good 4 year degree opportunities-
Adult/Juvenile Probation and or Parole
Corrections and/or Juvenile Long Term Offender Programs
County or City Positions in City Attorney's office (and not necessarily Lawyer)
Court Investigations for DA's Office
FBI (usually requires law degree)
Social Services (has youth and conflict positions that are contracted with the state and work in conjunction with police and victim programs)
etc, etc....
I think your minor or double would depend on which direction you would like to go. Criminal Justice Degrees often have opportunities for different concentrations, depending on size of curriculum. I strongly suggest seeking out an advisor or career counselor.
I have actually thought about doing something in forensic science but it would mean that id have to major in biology in order to get into the program.
The thing is that i dont want to major in bio. But the site u recommended really helped!!!
Im now actually thinking about double majoring in crJ and psychology... i think its a good combo there.
Thanxs for your advice!... any other suggestions? <anyone>
Whir you beat me to it. Check out forensic pschology. Only problems are, it doesn't seem there are lots of schools offering the program yet. It's getting much more popular now though, so you see more everyday. It is very interesting.
