"Snow" or static on a tv

got a question. they "snow" that you see on a tv screen when no channels are tuned in is caused by all the stray electric signals coming from space, earth, etc., right? well if you have a color tv, why isnt the snow in all colors instead of just black and white?

Hmmm, piqued my curiousity.

Is snow always black and white? Not according to this AT&T cable help site

Wonder why some snow is color, and some ain't?

I must be bored as well...

Cheers

all i know is that i have never seen colored snow. also another question. the audible component of snow, the "shhhhhgrgyrhgdfytdytddrdrydst5sldreywooyr" noise if you will, it is a bunch of different frequencies being played at the same time, but to me at least, it has its own "overall frequency", the best way i can describe it is not high pitched or low pitched but a little closer to low than high IMO. why?

btw, yes im bored as hell.

Sounds like material some comedian would want to use....good questions though...never really thought about it. Why'd they choose blue for the color when you switch to your A/V components? Now you can choose your colors, but who decided on blue initially?
