I have been around a lot of people that smoked pot. I've never tried it myself and never will.

I have seen how they act. They can't think straight and make bad decisions. They are often vulgar, hateful people.

I went to a house one time to do something on some guy's computer. He began smoking weed in front of me. His son who was about 6 or 7 years old was trying to talk to me at the kichen table. He brought me a coca-cola from the fridge. He seemed like a very nice little boy and was well mannered. The man began slapping his son in the face and hit him in the privates. I began getting angry and thought about calling the cops but didn't. I didn't want any trouble, so I never went back there again. As for him smoking dope in my presence, I didn't like that one bit. He lit it up without asking me first. If I had known he used dope, I would never have gone there.

It goes without saying that some people are dopes to begin with. Drugs IMHO just make them worse.

Some folks are evil to begin with. Dope doesn't help them either.

Some are just clueless. Ditto.

Some are immature. Ditto.

But, face it: were dope not available, most of those same folks would be swilling booze like water. They don't want to be "straight" and you can't make them.

You can't save anyone by what "stuff" you make legal or illegal.

What we do is make criminals rich, and that's a fact.

Pick your evil. Give it a go. Someone's still gonna make the cash. Who would you rather get it, and how?

And I don't know who this person Hickman is hanging around, but that's one bass-ackwards stoner. Unfortunately Hickman it seems you experienced the 0.00001% of pot smokers that get mean or violent. All the other 99.9999% of pot smokers just get stupid, silly, forgetful, carefree, careless, and AFAIC irritating as hell. Most of my friends are stupid enough as is, if they get stoned then I can't stand to be around them.

But in spite of it being irritating, I do feel it's a fairly harmless drug if used in moderation. Especially when compared to alcohol. There is no logic at all behind the fact that alcohol is legal and pot is illegal. If anything it should be reversed. Alcohol is way more dangerous and more detrimental to society.

replace this same situation with a guy who is drunk instead of stoned and it fits very well, even better actually. like out said, the majority of stoners dont get violent when they smoke. this guy was probably violent anyway, weed or not.

Please call someone for the sake of that little boy. You can do it anonymously. Call the police or social services. But please don't let that little boy suffer because it's uncomfortable for you. You know that the way the father treated him was terrible. You could be saving the boys life.
