Commie riot trashed my city

"A demonstration by a group called Reclaim the City degenerated into violence in downtown Stockholm Thursday evening, as around 500 young people fought with police and smashed shop windows.

According to leaflets asking people to take part in the action, the theme was "destroy". According to a police spokesman, groups of teenagers smashed the windows of 25 shops, spray-painted 100 buildings, vandalized two police cars, and threw bottles and rocks at officers in riot gear.

Twenty-eight protesters were taken into custody, but all but two were released during the night. The local subway station was closed, and traffic was diverted from the area. "

I am very upset that this has happened, either as a thing or as something that has happened to you, a friend. I hope that this one incident will serve as a reminder of what a riot is and can do, just as the detroit riot has for all of my life. I might joke about how detroit is debt/riot central, but the truth is that we are more aware of the consequences of a riot than others.

We can for instance look at the national landmark and state histroical sites that have not been touched since the riot rendered them into rumble. We can witness that not a single polititian in this city has been seen in public without an armed gaurd (lately numbering a dozen or more).

Or the way that our cities self image has grown to such putrid hieghts of self loathing. More property is currently condemed/waiting demolition than is zoned for residential use. Our papers carry a weekly feature of hazardous structures, but this has become more of a weekly comic than a statement.

All in all, I would praise those forward looking riotious idiots (with a stick!). Be sure to attend their public trial and show the court your support.

(If you have not caught on, I am very AGAINST such stupidity as riots).

One of the problems is the inability of the cops to make arrest charges stick. In San Francisco, most of the rioters were realeased without jail time or fines.

Start giving out 30 day first offense jail terms, and make them pay restitution and things may tone down, but the liberal courts just don't have the stomach for it.

non lethal weapons are a joke.. those people only understand violence, and/or are too drunk to care.. just blast their legs off.. that will teach them some respect

Non lethal weapons hurt enough to make people stop what they are doing..
