The trouble is, many businessmen have the ethics of a gnat. So the businesses they create fall afoul of legal operating principles, such as:
--Truthful declarations of financial status (instead, they lie to the investors, grab these folks' investment/savings, then suddenly declare bankruptcy, and flee with the $$$.)
--Accountability to responsible management (instead, they drive a business into the ground, making the investor's stocks worthless, then buy up all the stock dirt cheap, build the business back up, and flee with the $$$.)
And many other schemes and scams to defraud the investor, and enrich these corporate criminals!
My point is, declaring an actual
business to be an unlawful one isn't going to do much good...as a business is merely the
instrument these creeps use. Besides, good people work for these businesses, they need their jobs.
So I think there should be some
real significant jail time for 'em....I mean, why in heaven's name is Kenneth Lay (Enron CEO) still walking around free? If somebody doesn't get him 'dancing for Bubba' like, RIGHT NOW, he'll be up to
something else real shortly!
