First of all, I don't know if this should be in community, suggestion box, or nowhere. Mods, feel free to delete if need be.

When I see someone I "recognize" as being banned my first thought is: "What the "H E double hockey sticks" did they do." If the mods could put a brief explanation in the offending person's profile I would be able to say: "Oh, makes sense to me!"

Or, better yet, maybe a "Banned Members" sticky with no replies allowed?

Just a thought........probably a bad one.

I hear where you're coming from but I don't think an explanation is needed. People get banned for violating the rules, almost always after they've been warned (sometimes repeatedly).

Fortunately for the "banned", there are plenty of other forums where they can go and act in their normal a$$oholic manner. My personal preference is to frequent places like this one, where there there is a level of civility and respect.

To "protect" the banned member from getting embarassed, etc.

i think if you have a concern or question over a banning maybe you should pm the mods. I see no point on publicly posting "he did this"

James. I think your case has special merit.

As long as the original impostor is willing to hand over the banned account, I'm sure the mods/admins would be very sympathetic to any request to give the original jameswillamor account back to you. And I'm sure I saw Howste post somewhere he'd be happy to give your good name back to you. Just PM a mod or admin.
