Free Streaming Anime

Several probably already know about this, but Sputnik7 offers free streaming anime on demand. Great for educating non-otakus about anime, or just for catching up on shows you might have missed over the years.

http://www.sputnik7.com/vod/anime/

A login link is presented on the left menu, but an account is not required for watching the streams. It is mostly for a newsletter and saving your preferences (connection, player, etc.).

Currently playing:

Tokyo Revelation 55min 23sec
Red Hawk 1hr 26min
Sword For Truth 51min
Orguss 02 Volume 1 55min
Orguss 02: Volume 2 54min
Orguss 02 Volume 3 58min
Landlock Volume 1 49min
Landlock Volume 2 48min
Armageddon 1hr 27min
Psychic Wars 51min

They seem to rotate the playlist every few weeks, so you will have to check often for updates.

To keep it on top, try this:

-Click watch now for the anime you want
-Select your preferences as normal
-Now click "open in player application" when embedded player loads
-Wait for it to open Real or WMP
-Start streaming
-Close Sputnik7 website in IE, Netscape, etc.

Should now be able to watch with no interuptions.

They tend to show more of the old school animes, and often underground titles that never made it popular in the US. That is the whole reason I like the site.

Anyway, make sure to check atleast every few weeks, as the playlist does change. This new collection only features a couple of carryovers from the last playlist.

Hmmm, for a non-okatu like me this may be the start of something.

Thanks Rob!

Cheers

If you are using WMP, then launch the video in the standalone player like I indicated above. You can then select the view menu, and click full-screen, or just hit alt+enter.
