RIAA sending IM's to downloaders on kazaa

Looks like their now back to chasing individuals and threatening action.

Seems the RIAA is now sending nasty IM's to individual's that are downloading music.
But guess what ?. I can downlaod all the music I want and the RIAA can't touch me. Only downloading of commercially recorded music is illegal. Non-commercial recordings of live concerts don't fall under their jurisdiction. And me being an old deadhead I am now using programs like furthurnet and bit torrent to download .shn files of live concerts from hundreds of artists and groups that want to share their music.

So I just wanna send out a great big bird to the RIAA. Me not doing or promoting anything illegal. LMAO

Too late for them. I already got all the music I wanted which is the 70s and the 80s. Long before they stopped napster.

even though that i absolutely abhor the downloading of kazaa based anything, i feel like downloading some super popular songs that suck just to see if i can get the RIAA to IM me, that'd be a riot.

Im going to go googling and see if i can't come across a post somewhere of a copy/paste job of someone getting one.

Message from RIAA.....

Quote:
"It appears that you are offering copyrighted music to others from your computer.... When you break the law, you risk legal penalties. There is a simple way to avoid that risk: DON'T STEAL MUSIC, either by offering it to others to copy or downloading it on a 'file-sharing' system like this. When you offer music on these systems, you are not anonymous and you can easily be identified."

The RIAA has been using the file sharing programs as a "crutch" to blame their lack of sales. The persons with a common sense can realize that increased prices and availabily to purchase CDs elsewhere (such as a 3.00 new CD on eBay) is where their so-called losses are coming from.

This is my rant and opinion.
