New puppy!

well, we decided it was time to look into getting a new animal. We knew it had to be great with kids, protective(for security!), and a very well behaved animal. After lots and lots of research, I believ we decided on one of the best breeds of dogs available...we decided to purchase a Great Pyrenees.
I think this breed is the best looking dog available. They are large and very fluffy too!
Chomper(our dog!) is 6 weeks old and we can tell he is going to be fun already!

The average height is 27-32 inches and the average weight is 100-125lbs...needless to say, a big dog!

They area classified as a Gaurdian Dog as they are very protective. I used to be a Geman Shepherd only type of guy until I met someone who owned one of these beautiful dogs! I was instantly amazed by the dog! They are one of the calmest breed of dog and are probably the best breed to have around children. They are originally from the Pyrenees Mountains and now have a lot of hair!
The only bad thing about them is they drool...alot! It isn't too annoying but for some would be too much for them to want one.

What is that, a blunt in his mouth?! jk. Hes cute, is he one of those droopy eyed puppys always looking sleepy type?

Heres my new puppy bought in February, a Miniature Doberman Pinscher. Looks like the garage guard dogs but malnutritioned or something hehe, hes like 1/5th the size. Love this little guy, hes so rowdy and always makes me laugh just watching him cause hes so mischievous.

Nice puppy, cunokyle.

But - lots of work!! They need lots of exercise to prevent them getting fat, and lots of brushing/combing to prevent tangles and burrs.

But they are lovable dogs, great with kids, and very, very protective!!

Good choice!

Cheers
Mick

lol...I guess it sort of does look that way! It is his collar. Yes, he is pretty much droopy eyed all of the time. I bet your puppy is a hyper little thing!

Yeah, I read the part about the needing lots of exercise and though...wow...so do I!!!LOL!!

Yeah he is gonna be big and wait until you have to clean up the bombs he lays every day. We got our little addition about one year ago and he is the greatest.

Toddly you have to use your picture as an attachment not image.

I always wanted a dog like that as a kid. What a cutie!
