College Update

If you haven't seen my first post.. Check HERE

Well registeration for Freshman is on May 5th. Of course I will do it over the internet.
This Summer it appears I will have 6 units of classes, English 1A to touch up on my essays/papers.

Then I will have to probably take something like Philopshy, or at least something in the Arts and Humanities section. (Recommended by the counselor)

This Fall I will have around 14 units or so. With English 2A, Math class (Not sure which one), Bio. Sci (Not sure on which one either. ), and of course a Comp Sci. class of my own choosing.

Now I have to figure out what kind of Comp Sci. and Bio Sci. classes I want to take during the Fall.
Two lab classes? Not going to be fun considering I was never too keen on homework during High School.
Guess I will get a rude awakening.

Hey I took 3 labs...my advice is dont do it
Take an into level Bio course, either intro to Bio or Intro to MicroBio. Neither of those courses are difficult in the least if you have the memory capacity of at least a house cat. 2 Labs wont be horrible either if you schedule it right.

Thanks Josh.. I definetely don't want to take 3 labs..
I am thinking Intro to MicroBio. might be good. I'll come up with some silly questions to ask you when I see you on IRC.

You'll probably be required to take CIS100 (computers 100) so you can learn to use the mouse and keyboard

I never took any bio classes in college, for the science portion I was all over some chem classes

Until I got to organic chem RUN AWAY!
didn't like that at all
(it was a 8am class!)

My longest lab was a single 4 hour block sheesh long day!

oh organic chem wasnt that bad. I was a chemistry major before I went to pharmacy school. mike youll like microbio...pretty interesting stuff. the labs for bio arent that bad. when you have a 5 hour long lab for O chem, and the entire reaction depends on what you did 3 hours prior...now that sucks.

well if the lab is for the comp sci class it depends on the prof, some profs let you just do the assignment at home and bring it in, though my prof didnt allow that 7pm -10 pm lab sucked.

Vass:
I talked to a counselor and she said that it's recommended for me to take some basic C.S. class..
Although she said it's up to me, especially since I showed her my transcript showing that I took an A+ course last year at the community college.

The Intro to Unix class I was thinking about in the Fall is from 9-1 twice a week. What fun.

<- also doesn't get along with OrgChem too well. I'm looking forward to the rest of it though.

Intro to Philosophy (from what I remember of five years ago) is actually a pretty fun class. Maybe that was just the prof I had though. Let us argue with him for entire periods randomly. Of course he usually won...
