Pretty excited

I am going to the W2K3 server and Visual Studio.net release party on Wednesdy. It starts at 8:00 in the morning and lasts until ?? I received an E-mail a few months ago about this and when I went to check it out and register it said that the one in Harrisburg, PA was booked solid. Well I decided to submit anyhow, just in case. Well, I get a call the other day and they confirmed my reservation for the launch event. This is going to be so cool.
I am not sure what all they are handing out with the bag but I know it has a temp code for W2K3 server.

I will let you know what all I "aquire"

I went to the original VS.NET launch here in DC and it was cool.. you'll probably be bored through that part as it maybe a bit too developerish (kinda boring for me too lol)

You do get a LOT of cd's though!
Have fun
Should get a free tshirt too

These shows can either be completely boring, or quite fun, but usually nowhere inbetween.

I won several hundred dollars (maybe 1000+) worth of software at the last MS event I attended. It was a joint Compaq system rollout conference.

The thing that really $@#!$#$!% me off, was they made you wait until the VERY end after you filled out the surveys to announce the winners of the drawings

I don't want to fill out a stinkin' survey, just gimme the prizes

But of course, like every sucker I stayed till the end

YAWN talk about a sleeper.

I went to the W2K launch event and have to say that this one was really boring. There were maybe 5 vendors there so you could not really get a chance to see some of the new products/software coming out. Plus there were not as many freebies

About the only exciting part was the firedrill they had in the middle of one of the seminars. That was pretty funny actually. I think the reason that the alarms went off was because it was so hot in the rooms. Just sitting there you started sweating and falling asleep. I actually missed 2 of the seminars because of how hot it was.

Unfortunatly I did not win one of the 2 17" flat panel monitors they gave away.

Oh well, atleast I can say I was there.
