how to get rid of (lots) of flies?
ok, every spring my house is invaded by flies. If we keep doors closed we only have masses of these buzzing dusgusting things on the outside of the house. They always get in though. My main problem is that you can't really go out to the back of my house where the sun shines because they all crowd on the back of my house and every other object they can! I can't go out to eat or read or bathe in the sun.
I go out side every day and kill hundreds of flies with a swatter. They slow for the day but they seem to come back the next day. Eventually during mid summer the amount of them slows and I can go outside again. Does anyone have any ideas on how to rid them? Any products that will attract them and then kill them? We have lots of animals (dogs, and two cats plus this stray "thing" that resmebles a cat/demon). So no like auto defense turrets or napalm or whatever.
Please help me, I hate them so much. They make me bitter and mad and i just want to kill them all so badly. To see piles of there ugly corpses...

What about those blue zapper lights, they hang from a post and zap teh little buggers
"no, don't go to the light"
"I can't help it, it's so pretty"
"zappp"
(poor quote from bugs life"
my thought anyway, sounds like you need about 4 or so, all across the deck (new patio lights?)

If they are IN the house, try an aerosol hairspray like Aquanet. You can hit them, the spray dries, their wings harden, and they drop like, well.. flies. And your house will smell like a blue-haired salon lady. It's like aerial combat with a spray can. Or you can play pyro with a bic lighter if so inclined but not recommended. Outdoors you are on your own, I suppose.

Or you could go high tech, get one of those things you plug into the wall sockets... and emits some kinda DEATH RAY and the bugs stay away.

I use these every year, to keep the flies from my dogs. These type of traps work GREAT! You'll see the fly population drop dramatically!

Go to a ranch supply place and tell them your problem. I used to spray with some stuff called "Fly Killer D" it worked so good it is probably illegal now! But surely there is something to spray outside that kills by contact. Your inside flys come from outside (we hope!) and land every now and then somewhere...and that's where you kill them!
Good luck!

Use those fly strips that hang from your ceiling or some other fly trap. Heck, buy a bunch of venus fly traps! What kind of flies are these? House flies, fruit flies, or some kind if biting fly?

i use WD-40. kills em in a few seconds. i know that if you set a jar full of gasoline out it will attract and kill all sorts of bugs, flies included. or you could get a bunch of duct tape and put all over the outside of your house sticky side out. or go out there with a vaccuum cleaner and go to town. a flamethrower would be great. you could get one of those cattle prod things and place the electrodes really close together and zap em one by one. get an army of chemeleons(sp?) and let them loose on to the flys.
ok ill stop now ....
