We had a goat for a while when I was growwing up. Billy Goat, that is!

It would gross my sister's out by peeing in it's face whenever they came by!

Got rid of it when it chased my "late 70's" grandmother up the windmill and wouldn't let her down.

I had a goat for a while. I full size billy, named Bill of course.I got him to chew down some weeds along a fence that I couldn't mow.He ended up becoming a pet.He would answer when ya called him just like a puppy.

They are cool pets. It's nearly impossible to touch thier noses to the ground. We tried, but Bill had other ideas

Dad had one that would get out,and go to the resthome, and look in the windows at the elderly,It would scare them to no end. Dad finally got rid of him being afraid he would cause some one to get hurt or something. He just really liked people

I have a friend in Washington state that got involved in 4H with his kids with some sort of mini-goat---now he is the goat king---he says goats are free but makes a living cutting them up---his family eats goat like I eat chicken---roasted goat, goat sausage, goat stew, goat taco's, goat burgers, goat kebabs, goat thanksgiving, goat jerky, goat shakes---I tell him he's nuts and should be makin goat cheese and NOT killin em---its about 4$ for 4 ounces here...
---dummy goat killer

im sure goat would be really good although ive never had it. but i dont plan on eating these.

thats like i will eat hamburger all day but i could never kill a defenseless cow myself. hunting is a different story because it is a challenge and the wild animals have a lot more defense than a livestock animal has.

Thats what I find odd---they never imagined eating what started out as a pet---(they dont eat the pygmy goats, but after experiencing "goat", regular ones have become their primary food source)
