If the images came as email attachments then they were sent to you illegally, unless it was the creator of each image that sent them.
And no need for you to throw your own hissy fit about it and get an attitude. Saying that you've been "chastised" is just silly. But you should at least be aware that technically it's forbidden to repost stuff that others hold the copyright for. And yes, technically that forbids reposting text from media as well. You're not aware of this?
Honestly I don't think it's a big deal, I'm just saying
if they do notice and request they be removed, then don't be surprised...that's all.
