Too bad they got caught. Sounds like maybe they got greedy. I would've been content with a cool mil.

I know I'd think about it. I already have since I heard the first reports of them finding stashes of cash over there. It's not like that's "clean, honest money" you'd be stealing from anyone...although I guess it should belong to the Iraqi people. But no telling where all Saddam's various stashes of loot came from.

Plus, something like this is not simply a big payday to go party with if you succeed...no...if they succeeded with this heist then they would've been set for the rest of their lives (assuming the IRS didn't wonder where all their income was coming from).

It was a Clint Eastwood movie - about him & his small unit - but they were on their own mission, to get millions in Nazi gold.

Nazi guard in front of huge vault type safe... Eastwood - 'there's 100million $ behind that door. We can do this the easy way or the hard way. The easy way is you open the door and we give you a million in gold. The hard way is we kill you and then have to blow it'

No. Someone like Scott Peterson is a disgrace to our country. These guys are human. I wished they would have got away with it. But they messed up and got caught, and they should get the appropriate punishment. And I'm sure the military will see that they get their punishment.

But disgrace? Hardly. The only disgraceful aspect of this is they weren't smart enough to pull it off.
