More information for those that might have missed this....

Legislation is being drafted in both Massachusetts and Texas to extend and clarify certain portions of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. The langauge relating to online concealment being proposed could prove disastrous for all Internet users. Similar bills are being drafted in South Carolina, Florida, Georgia, Alaska, Tennessee, and Colorado.

Here is one example of the far-reaching harmful effects of these bills. Both bills would flatly ban the possession, sale, or use of technologies that "conceal from a communication service provider ... the existence or place of origin or destination of any communication". Your ISP is a communication service provider, so anything that concealed the origin or destination of any communication from your ISP would be illegal -- with no exceptions.

Wha!!! ya gotta be kidding me. If they think im gonna drop my firewalls and router they got another thing coming.

I am not going to drop them. i have the right to keep my infomation on my computer private. I don't do any illegal stuffs. I don't download music but I do a ton of banking for work and home on my computer and I have the millionths rights to protect that info.

IMO they can all go to hell!
Law won't stay like that for long.
Businesses need them.
Government needs them
home people have the right to protect thier data.
