Rebates That Never Arrive

At least I'm not alone! Of the last 10 I've mailed in 4 said they never got it. 2 say I didn't enclose the UPC so I mailed a photocopy of my paperwork and they come back and say sorry we don't except photocopies. Total loss on these six rebates = $185.

Yeah, I've been burned by these scams too.

I never buy anything on the basis of a rebate.

If they were sincere, they'd just drop the price up front.
Even if you do get the rebate, some three months later, they've used your money that long for free.

Rebates are a scam, pure & simple.

ive sent in, and revieved rebates for my webcam, cdrw, and nic
i dont base buying an item on a rebate.. but i havnt been screwed by them yet

I been fighting for a Norton AV rebate for months, sent the stuff in three times, just got an other E Mail now they want me to fax it. not an 800 number either. the phone # just automated crap. cant talk to a person. no luck at rebatestatus.

Last year I tried getting my rebate from NOrton. I replied using my PO Box because I dont have a mailbox anymore at my residence. They sent a letter to my PO Box saying they can't respond to my PO Box, and I need to provide a street address. I wrote them that I did not have one, but I was still capable of purchasing their product. Of course, the mailing address they gave ME was a PO Box, which I also noted. I asked them for a street address, so that I may stop by in person and fix this .

So, far, no reply.

No more rebate scams for me.
