What do you guys do for a job?

Just curious what you guys do for a living

I'm an independent contractor for a company that sells ultra think paint for boats and other applications.

I leech off the government because my company downsized me. I am the epitome of jobless moron.

Otherwise I used to do GIS system consultation and AutoCAD programming. Some drafting now and then too.

Well, I didn't do engineering stuff. Land based drafting only. Cable TV system layouts. Really easy stuff, but I became sort of the local AutoCAD guru. I'm sure next to a professional I am still worthless, but it worked for me for a while. Till the company decided to run themselves into the ground so the owners could buy all the stock super cheap, then revive the company and sell it off.

man that sucks.

I tried working for someone else, and it sucked big time

I've worked along side my father for over ten years (heck, been with him since I was five) Worked in plumbing and electrical. So you can say that I didn't work for someone, but I did work for some guy who was starting up his company and I was his network administrator. Setup his rig real nice and didn't allow for it to have a problem. Out of the blue he just stopped calling me. Looks like he either jumped his business, tried to do the administrative work himself, or he went bankrupt

That's why I have my own "ghost" company setup right now, just me and the open world.

You guys ought of try working for yourselves.
